Greenhouse Unit Heaters Redefined
The revolutionary tubular heat exchanger inside the Lennox LF-24 series of greenhouse heaters ensures you years of performance and high efficiency. Combustion is precise because of special "in-shot" burners and fan assisted exhaust. Equipped with a TrueLeaf Combustion Air Separator, it's bullet-proof.

BioTherm® MicroClimate

Components & Accessories

The tubing can be placed on top of wooden greenhouse benches, below expanded metal benches, on the ground for bedding plants, or buried in media beds for propagating woody ornamentals. Conceive an application and BioTherm tubing is up to the task.

This high performance tubing is formulated to last, UV and chemical resistant, will handle foot and small cart traffic, warranted for 10 years— formulated to last for 50 years! Used in our engineered BioTherm Systems and the packaged Benchwarmer Kits. Ships on convenient, easy to handle 1,000' reels.

BioTherm Fitting Family

The fittings are inserted into the manifold, connecting the manifold to the tubing, clamps are used to secure the tubing to the fitting. Different fittings are available from our range of greenhouse supplies to accommodate manifold configurations best suited for an individual engineered system.

BioTherm "L" Fitting:
For manifolds installed at the end on a bench/bed. Recommended for benches under 50' in length.

BioTherm "T" Fitting:
For manifolds installed in center of a bench/bed. Sometimes called center-fed or butterfly headers. Recommended for benches over 50'.

BioTherm Clamp:
Secures BioTherm tubing to "L" or "T" fittings. Nylon "66" compound lasts for many years in the greenhouse heat environment. Holds tight with "Double Serrated" jaw teeth.

BioTherm Splice Union:
Used for tubing connection, in a new installation or to repair a tube in an existing system.

Wedge-Lok Headers:
Always used in a pair, Microclimate headers are the junction between the BioTherm tubing and the supply and return piping. The supply and return headers are capped at opposite ends to equalize pressure with counterflow. This guarantees that every square foot of heated area receives the same exact amount of heat from one end to the other. Our continuous product improvement policy has resulted in in the introduction of the Wedge-Lok type header fitting which drastically reduces installation time.

Headers are designed to direct the flow of hot water from the supply piping through the BioTherm tubing out over the greenhouse bench/bed providing gentle, even heat, returning the water to the return piping and heat source to be re-heated and re-circulated.

The diameter of header pipe is determined through the engineering process, taking into consideration flow rate and heating application. Microclimate manifolds are custom manufactured to the width of your bench/bed. Schedule 80 PVC manifold piping is used for standard greenhouse heating installations. Retrofits for most hot water systems are available. Call our help line, we specialize in solutions.

BioTherm Grabber Trak:
Grabber-Trak acts as the guide for the BioTherm tubing, anchoring it in the best position possible. Grabber-Trak is made of a leading edge thermoplastic with a life expectancy of 50 years. It's "L" shape provides ample space for staples, nails, or screws to attach it. The "foot" is serrated, so adhesives can be used to attach it to greenhouse metal frame benches.

Able to withstand temperatures up to 240° and highly chemical resistant, Grabber-Trak is the answer to almost any tubing placement problem. With capabilities of spacing tubing in 1/2" increments, it is adaptable to any installation. And because Grabber-Trak comes on 200' rolls, it can be cut to any desired length— it's so easy to install!

Bench connection Methods

Fittings and Components:
The installation of a BioTherm System on a stationary or on rolling benches will differ. Many growers have a preference on how that is accomplished; we have all of the fittings and components for any preference or call our help line for tips on how to do this the TrueLeaf way.

Standard PVC fittings:
Available in Schedule 80 PVC and CPVC. Varying sizes from 1/2".

Standard PVC piping:
Available in Schedule 80 PVC and CPVC. Varying sizes from 1/2".

We realize these parts are most likely available in your area, however, for your convenience we offer one-stop shopping. Let us ship these integral components with your greenhouse system and save you time.

Components for rolling bench connection:
.75" Thermoid hose, ensures a flexible connection. Sold by the foot.

PVC hose barb connector:
Especially suited for installation using the thermoid hose, will not twist or break off.

Worm gear clamp:
Used to secure hose to barb fitting.

Glue and Pipe Sealants:

We have all the pipe glue, primer and sealants you'll need for your installation. Glue and Primeravailable in pint, quart or gallon size. Teflon tape available in 1/2" and 3/4" wide available.

Bench Isolation and Shut off Components:

Growers often request bench isolation or shut off valves in a BioTherm system. The advantage to this option is the ability to isolate or shut off individual benches within a system. If a bench is not in use or is under repair it can be shut off, saving energy. The shut-off valves and air vent option below can save the day when repair one leaky fitting, makes short work of getting the system back on line.

Manual PVC shut-off valves:
Various sizes available.

Wedge-Lok Header Air Vent:
Manifold air vents are installed during manufacturing, these are used to release air during the initial installation or anytime air finds its way into the system.

Repair Kits:

Unfortunately accidents happen! Order a repair kit with your greenhouse system. Don't wait until the leak happens, be ready.

BioTherm Repair Kit:
Repair the tubing by cutting out the damaged piece and adding a splice union, clamp both sides and you are back in business.

1 Package includes: 10 clamps, 5 splice unions

Header Repair Kits:
We recommend drilling "out" the damaged fitting, tapping threads, screwing in a plug, drilling a new hole nearby, inserting a new fitting and clamping the tubing to the fitting and you're ready to go. Everything you need to complete the repair is included in the kit.

"L" type Manifold Repair Kit:
1 Package Includes: 10 "L" fittings, 10 clamps, 1 drill bit, 1 Tap, 10 Screw Plugs, Teflon tape

"T" type Manifold Repair Kit:
1 Package Includes: 10 "T" fittings, 20 clamps, 1 drill bit, 1 Tap, 10 Screw Plugs, Teflon tape

Microclimate Goof Plug:
In case you need to build your own manifolds and drill one too many holes, "Oh no, I goofed"— we have the solution.
